Eitt nú á Reykjavík Jazz Festival har bólkurin megnaði at imponera íslendsku fjøldina, umframt at fáa góð skoðsmál frá stóra jazzprentinum Jazzwise.

The band GØ was founded in 2015 by four young musicians who were tired of playing nicely and correctly. Today these are some of the most in-demand musicians in Faroe Islands, and they still stick to the same rebellious approach when they write and play music; everything is praise in GØ. While the poetic image created by GØ looks back to the 60’s and 70’s, the compositions carry traces of film noir, spaghetti western, jazz and rock.
Last year GØ played a lot both in the Faroe Islands and abroad. For example, at the Reykjavík Jazz Festival where the band managed to impress the Icelandic crowd, in addition to getting good reviews from the big jazz magazine Jazzwise.
