VETRARJAZZ 2025 – GØ – Útgávukonsert (FO)
FO
Eitt nú á Reykjavík Jazz Festival har bólkurin megnaði at imponera íslendsku fjøldina, umframt at fáa góð skoðsmál frá stóra jazzprentinum Jazzwise. Hendan sama framførslan verður nú at uppliva í Føroyum, samstundis sum møguleiki verður at ogna sær spildur nýggju plátuna – “Ævir, Amen”.

The band GØ was founded in 2015 by four young musicians who were tired of playing nicely and correctly. Today these are some of the most in-demand musicians in Faroe Islands, and they still stick to the same rebellious approach when they write and play music; everything is praise in GØ. While the poetic image created by GØ looks back to the 60’s and 70’s, the compositions carry traces of film noir, spaghetti western, jazz and rock. Last year GØ has played a lot both in Faroe Islands and abroad. For example, at the Reykjavík Jazz Festival where the band managed to impress the Icelandic crowd, in addition to getting good reviews from the big jazz press Jazzwise. This same performance will now be experienced in the Faroe Islands, at the same time as there will be an opportunity to acquire the brand new album – “Ævir, Amen”.
