Music by Sergey Ilyin (UA/FO)
Musician Sergey Ilyin has long had a desire to work with jazz and make songs that are timeless and lasting.
He has recently collaborated with 42-year-old Boston poet Andrey Kneller.
The result so far is songs and arrangements for poems from Kneller’s youth, and on Thursday evening, December 4th, the songs will be performed at Blábar.
The band, which will perform, is composed of two young soloists and a jazz trio.
The soloists are:
Vár Isaksen, singer and saxophonist Justin James Villaneuva, and together with the well-known trio, with:
Arnold Ludvig on bass, Kristian Paula Ellefsen on piano and Rógvi á Rógvu on drums, they form an exciting and well-played quintet.
